LCD panel maker AU Optronics (AUO) saw a significant drop in its April sales on decreased shipments to the large-size segment, while its major competitor Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) turned in better results for the month, with growth in shipments to both the large-size and small- to medium-size segments.
